Drink More Water To Lose Weight

If you have been on a diet for a while and are eating the right foods and getting the proper amount of exercise and still are not losing any weight, then chances are you are not drinking enough water.
It is a proven fact that most people whether on a diet or not don’t drink enough water. If you are one of those people who are walking around carrying extra pounds, you could be carrying less if you drank more water everyday of your life. Drinking water really does help you to lose weight and here are a few reasons why.
First of all, you need to understand what “metabolism” is and how it works. Metabolism is defined as “The process by which a substance is handled in the body.”
Your body contains many forms of metabolism, but one of the most popular ones is the metabolism of fat. This is handled through your liver where it converts stored fat to energy. The liver also has other functions in your body, but this is one of the more important ones.
Another job that your liver has is to work with your kidneys. Your kidneys need plenty of water to operate properly, and if you are not drinking enough, then your liver has to do it’s own work plus that of the kidneys. By doing this double duty, the liver is not able to effectively metabolize fat the way that it should and it often results in stored fat in your body.
Many people make the pledge to drink more water, but very few carry through with it. The problem is that until your body gets used to handling the extra water intake, you are running to the bathroom several more times a day then you normally would have and this can be discouraging and annoying ,especially if you have a busy job or schedule. This causes many people to give up on drinking more.
The reason why you are running to the bathroom more is that your body is getting rid of all the water that it has stored up for years. Once your body gets used to the extra water intake, your bathroom visits will decrease to normal because it will depend on the daily intake and not stored water in other parts of your body like your hips, thighs, or belly. When things return to normal, we call this the breakthrough point.
You should also try to stay away from caffeine as much as you can. Even though caffeine may increase your heart rate, your muscles suffer in the process as they need plenty of water to function properly and caffeine takes water away from your body and that is not a good thing and it also makes your heart work harder. Never drink it before you exercise.
Drinking plenty of water is also good for your skin. It will help your complexion by flushing out impurities in your skin and it will help to keep you looking younger by keeping your skin cells hydrated.
It also helps you with muscle tone. Your muscles need plenty of water to function properly. By drinking enough, your workout will be more effective because your muscles will be tighter and you will look nicer after you finish and you will not have flabby muscles under sagging skin.
So how much water should the average person drink a day? The answer to this is around 8 glasses a day or 64 ounces which equals two quarts. If you are seriously overweight, then you should add 8 extra ounces for every 25 pounds that your are overweight.
This sounds like a huge task to drink this much water everyday, but it really isn’t. You should spread the water consumption out during the day. Do not drink a huge amount of water at one time as this is not a healthy thing to do. Pick 3 or 4 times a day to drink a full glass of water and take small amounts in between. Be careful not to let yourself get thirsty as this is a sign that you are becoming dehydrated and not
getting enough water.
There are other fluids that will hydrate your body, but many of them contain extra sugar and other additives that are not good for your body. You can drink flavored water, but make sure that you check the ingredients first.
You should also not drink water too close to bedtime as you will be up all night running to the bathroom and this will hurt your chances of losing weight as you must get a good nights sleep as part of a complete diet.

Eat Healthy To Stay Fit

I’m sure that we have all heard that old saying, “ You are what You eat” and this is so true. If you want to stay thin and remain strong and fit, then you must learn how to eat a healthy diet. By doing this, you not only will have more energy to help your body function properly, you will also be protected from disease.

The first step that you should take is to throw out any junk food that you have sitting around in your fridge or storage shelves. You can define junk food as any type of food that is packaged, processed, or
that contains any artificial preservatives or additives. This will give you a great head start on your diet and
If you do not want to throw the food away, then donate it to your local food bank and it will not be wasted.

Next, you need to go grocery shopping and stock up on fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grain like oats,
and buy lean cut meats such as chicken and fish which are really great tasting and are good for your body.
Whole foods are the best nourishment for you. Make sure before you buy any foods, that you check the labels and ingredients. Even though the food label may say that it is low fat or reduced sugar, it still may not be healthier for you as some food companies add unhealthy ingredients to these foods to compensate for the low fat or sugar reduction in them. When you buy bread, make sure that the label says “whole wheat flour” and not just “wheat flour” as it is not whole grain. Also, when you do eat out at a restaurant, you should ask what the fat and calorie content of the meals are and that way, you will not be consuming extra calories and fat needlessly.

Another step that you can take is cooking your own meals. By doing this, you can prepare them with whole foods and that way , they will be more nutritious for you and your family. Do not buy ready made vegetables and potatoes. Slice your own and prepare them without additives and this way, they will be healthier for everyone.

Make sure that you consume enough calories a day. The average daily consumption is around 2,000 a day. However, it can vary depending on your daily activity level along with your gender, height, and weight.

You should also learn to eat smaller portions at meals. It is a proven fact that it is better to eat 5 or 6 small meals a day then to eat 2 or 3 big ones. This is true because when you eat larger meals, your blood sugar levels increase and this can lead to weight gain and give you that miserable “too full” feeling. By eating smaller and more meals a day, your body works better and you have energy throughout your whole day to complete your tasks.

If you do get a craving for junk food, then eat it in moderation. We all like this food because it tastes good, but it is not good for us. It is not going to kill you if you have a burger and fries once in a while, but be careful not to get carried away with it.

These are just a few of the ways that you can eat healthy and improve your life. If you are serious about making positive changes in your life, then please visit my weight loss web site where you will find all the help that you need to achieve your weight loss goals.

Choose Exercise to Improve Your Life and Health

What if by chance, someone walked up to you one day and asked you if you would like to be thinner and be able to live a longer life. What would your answer be?
Hopefully the answer would be yes. This almost sounds like it is too good to be true, but it is and the key to achieve this is through exercise. Much research has been done and it is a proven fact that exercise is the key ingredient to living healthier and longer.

When you exercise on a regular basis, it not only helps you to lose weight, it reduces your risk factor for several chronic diseases and other medical conditions. You

who does it. How long should your daily exercise workout be? According to several studies, you should strive for one hour each and every day. You are not required to do
the whole hour at once. It can be broken up into increments and you still receive all the health benefits from it as long as you do it!

When you are on a weight loss program, physical exercise plays a major part in it because it allows you to lose as much body fat as possible while maintaining your

blood pressure and other heart diseases.

suffering from this disease. By physical exercise, you can lose weight and help prevent or control this condition. It also helps to improve your blood sugar and cholesterol
levels and helped control your blood pressure and these are all important factors for people with type II diabetes. In a study performed by the school of public health, it was
found that by walking one hour a day , it could reduce the risk of developing type II diabetes by 34%.

If you suffer from back pain, then exercise can benefit you also. It can help manage your back pain or prevent it . You need to get yourself into a fitness program that
strengthens your muscles and increases your flexibility. The key to guard against back pain is to have good posture and a strong abdomen.

Exercise can also prevent some women from developing osteoporosis. They can strengthen their bones by walking, lifting weights, jogging , or stair climbing and this
greatly reduces their risk of developing this disease.
